Yesterday on the 23rd of November PASSPO put on 3 shows 11am – 12:30pm, 2pm – 3:30pm and 6pm – 7:30pm all in JPT. I was able to catch the 1st show and 2nd show, they were both AWESOME! :)

These shows were very special. Why is that? Because it was celebrating the group’s 1st Anniversary! Not only that but something very special happened later on in the 1st concert.. Read on to find out!

The show opened with Pre-Dia but I started watching the stream 5 minutes after it began so I only caught the ending. :(

PASSPO comes back out and starts performing Pretty Lie, GPP (Girl’s Pajama Party), LA LA LOVE TRAIN~恋の片道切符~ and Go On A Highway. LOTS of energy and full of smiles right away, the girls don’t disappoint! Unfortunately I forgot to take screenshots during this. :( :(

Next up was Sako and Anna’s dance time! Sako went first dancing to.. a Kanye West song?? I have no idea. It was in English and it was a man but I don’t think it was Kanye, though his name was mentioned at the beginning of the song.. Then Anna walked out and begun dancing to Britney Spears – Womanizer! Anna looked gorgeous throughout the whole show. :) Sako came back and they both danced to KARA – Lupin! :D

After that, 3 girls came up on stage. BREAK OUT time! This was a Shiori solo with Mio and Makoto as the cutest backup dancers ever! LOTS of cute air guitaring that put a goofy smile on my face. :D

After that energetic and fun little performance, all 10 girls came out and introduced themselves. PASSPO always introduces themselves together by saying, “ATTENTION PLEASE, PASSPO DESU!” followed up with a cute pose.

Then each girl introduced herself to the crowd.

The stage went dark and the girls stepped aside as the VTR played their 1st stage performance which was really, really nice to see. The girls giggled and made comments about how cute so and so were and other things.

ハレルヤ/Hallelujah was up next! This song is really fun (okay their whole discog. is fun) and the dance consists of line dancing, the girls interacting together in pairs and then goofy poses! SO CUTE.

夏空ダッシュ/Summer Sky Dash had the girls take out their little towels from LA LA LOVE TRAIN~恋の片道切符~ and swinging them up in the air again. Really fun to watch. :D After that song ended the girls walked to the sides of the stage and took out some microphone stands, which means…

サクラ色/Sakura Colours was up! A really sweet song (and no it’s not a slow ballad) where the girls stand back-to-back and take turns singing with the partners switching. They don’t move around the stage like they do with their other songs so the choreography for this one just involves their arms moving around.

夢パスポート/Dream Passport came right after. I can’t remember much of the performance though so here’s a screenshot. >:

The girls left the stage and the VTR began playing サクラ色 while a slideshow of various photos of the girls were shown. It was really nice to watch. :) This played on for a couple of minutes, and then..

無敵Girl!!/Invincible Girl!! + Let It Go!! were performed in their blue flight attendant outfits! Yay! :D

Once that finished the lights on the stage dimmed and a soft melody began playing.. it was the ‘Happy Birthday’ song. (you know, the universal birthday song) Their choreographer came out carrying a cake!! The wota in the crowd along with the girls began singing, “Happy Birthday to you~” and when it came to the part where you say the name of the person whose birthday it was, they all paused and then giggled. AND WHY IS THAT I hear you ask, WELL.. Shiori, Sako and Makoto all had their birthdays really recently. Shiori jumped up and said in a loud voice, “Shiori!!” during that little pause. Everybody laughed and quickly said the 3 girls’ names and then finished the song.

Shiori, Sako and Makoto were handed gifts and then it was announced that their mothers had written letters to their daughters for their birthdays.

Yukimi began reading out the letter that Shiori’s mother wrote for her. Tears came. Aww..

Now it was Anna’s turn to read the letter for Sako.

Nobody expected Sako to completely bawl her eyes out though. :( :(

Anna had to stop reading every now and then to console Sako by giving her encouraging words like, ”がんばろう、ねぇ?” and petting her hair with her one hand available and also handing her a tissue. Aww!

In between her tears she managed to squeak out, “Thank you mommy, I love you.. Oh I love you too daddy..” which caused laughter among the stage and crowd.

With all of that happening I had forgotten for a few seconds that Makoto hadn’t had her turn yet. Ai read out the letter and Makoto was all smiles instead of tears like the two other girls who are older than her.

The birthday girls bowed and thanked everybody. I find it funny and cute how Shiori got given a big yellow cushion and smiley faced thing instead of a bouquet. If you haven’t noticed, their gifts are the same colours as the girls’ image colours. :)

The girls all left the stage and the wota began calling out, ”アンコール!アンコール!” (Encore! Encore!) to which the three birthday girls Shiori, Makoto and Sako pop back out.

“Where are our mommies?” The girls looked through the crowd and then they looked straight up into the camera that was streaming the show.

“There they are!!” The girls waved and told the crowd to say hi to their mothers who are watching as well as everybody else who were watching from USTREAM (LIKE ME YAY THEY SAY HI TO ME YAY!!! :P). Also a lot of wota seem to wear hats but I don’t know, just a little observation there.

ENCORE TIME!!!

The rest of the group ran out onto stage and they went straight into Pretty Lie! YAY!!

Right after that they did LA LA LOVE TRAIN~恋の片道切符~ which is an AWESOME song to end the show with. The girls showed lots of energy as they danced around the stage SWINGING THOSE TOWELS, YAY!!! Some wota even had towels and swung along. This song is so catchy and fun, anybody who listens to it is sure to have their moods lifted! “I CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU!”

Oh and here’s Yukimi, Mio and Anna being paired together singing and running up during the song. YOU KNOW YOU LOVE THEM!!!

And so it ends. The girls bowed together and left the stage, not without waving a bunch to the audience and saying things like, “I love you!” “SARANGHAE!” (I BET THAT WAS ANNA) and even a “I miss you!” which didn’t make much sense.. the girls are so cute!!

Like I said earlier in this entry, I also got to see their 2nd show and this time got to see Pre-Dia’s performance. I’ll do a short write up of that later. The set list was the same as this one except there were a few changes, plus Pata tuned in right when Sako and Anna were dancing to a K-POP song. (and that time it wasn’t to KARA but SNSD! GUESS WHICH SONG)

One Response to “ぱすぽ☆ (PASSPO) 11/23 – 1 Year Anniversary Show! part 1”

  1. […] It feels like it has been a long time since I’ve done something like this. A post with a bunch of screen captures from a USTREAM J-Idol show with a crappy write up. I used to do this a lot with PASSPO but they haven’t UST’d any shows in a long time which is devastating for me.. On the 19th, PASSPO will hold two special shows in commemoration of their 2nd Year Anniversary which happened on the 17th of November 2011. I doubt they’ll stream both shows which is REALLY SAD for me because last year they streamed both of their 1st Year Anniversary Shows which I was able to watch. […]
